Alberto Alcalde H.

Alberto is a Partner at PUGA ORTIZ and his experience is linked to the corporate practice, economic law, with special development in the areas of securities and financial markets and the development of real estate projects.

He was accepted as a partner of the firm in 2001. Before that, he was a partner of Carey & Allende and was a lawyer for the subsidiaries of Banco Santiago (now Banco Santander Chile) in matters of investment funds and financial advisory services between 1997 and 2000.

As a lawyer, he is associated with the Chilean Bar Association. Active member of the International Bar Association (IBA) where he participates in the Capital Markets Committees, and associate member of the American Bar Association (ABA), being an active part of the international practice area. Vice President of the Financial Products Committee of the International Law Section of the ABA, of the Capital Markets Committee and part of the Steering Group of the Committee for Latin America. Representative for Chile of the International Section of the American Bar Association.

He is also an arbitrator of the Arbitration and Mediation Center (CAM) of the Chamber of Commerce of Santiago.

In the teaching field he has been a professor of the courses of Civil Law, Law of Free Competition and Economic Law, the latter at the Gabriela Mistral University until this year.

Our performance in the different types of operations includes advice to industrial and financial clients, both from the buyer and seller side, designing business structures that contain the drafting and negotiation of contracts.
